For the last 7 months, Horizon Council students from across Howard County have been working on planning and implementing a fundraising event for Grassroots. They have partnered with The Columbia Gym to host Glo for Grassroots. This event is solely for middle school students in Howard County and is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st from 7:30-10:00 pm. In keeping with the mission of the Horizon Foundation, Glo for Grassroots will emphasis an evening of physical activity and healthy snacks. There will also be an educational component that will provide information about Grassroots and its role in our community. Glo for Grassroots will be chaperoned by Columbia Gym staff, Horizon Council adult and student members. All proceeds from the event will go to Grassroots as part of the Change Matters initiative.
