Back to School Night September 7th

5:30- GT “Gifted & Talented” Information Session - This session will take place in the cafeteria and is ONLY for families who are new to middle school or want more about the GT program.   .

5:30- National History Day information session - this session will take place in the media center and is ONLY for families of 8th grade students who are enrolled in GT Social Studies.    

  • We are asking parents to come with their child’s schedule. You can take a picture of your student’s schedule or you can log into Synergy and access your students schedule by clicking on the “Class Schedule” tab.

  • If you are unable to access your child’s schedule we will have schedules available that night, please arrive early to pick up your child’s schedule so that you can be in your students 1st period before 6:00 PM. 

  • We will have staff and our student leaders available to help direct you to your student’s first period class and/or assist in any way. 

  • We will have laptops set up in the media center from 5:30pm to 6:00pm to assist families with completing their Family File and FARMS applications. 

5:50-6:00 PM - Check in at our welcome table then report to your child’s 1st period. 

6:00-6:22 PM - Welcome! Information shared by MWMS Administrators

6:22-7:30 PM - Begin rotating to your child’s classes in 8-minute sessions. Bells/announcements will sound indicating when to leave to report to the next period classes (Staff along with our student leaders will be positioned throughout our building to assist with locating classrooms). 

Other Important Back to School Night Information:

  • Staff will be available in the media center to assist parents with HCPSS Connect/Family File from 5:30 to 6:00pm. 

  • Need to use our elevators? We will have our Student Leaders standing by on each floor to assist. You will have limited time to meet with each teacher, if you have any questions for the teacher specifically about your student, please email or contact the teacher to set up a time to meet.

  • Want to sign up to be a PTA member? Be sure to visit our PTA table or click here to join.

  • We will have a few other booths set up for parents to visit throughout the night.
