Regular school attendance is important to your student’s success in school. Per HCPSS Policy 9010, daily attendance is essential to student achievement and required in order to demonstrate mastery of material and receive credit for a course.
A student may make-up and earn credit for work missed due to a lawful absence or field trip. Students returning from lawful absences or field trips will have an equal number of school days to complete make-up work. Students may complete make-up work but may not receive a recorded grade for work missed due to an unexcused absence. Please make sure you send a student with a note or email MWMSabsence@hcpss.org within 5 days when a student is absent.
