Tickets are numbered and each student will receive 2 tickets.  The auditorium at Long Reach seats 693 people and we need to accommodate 711 people.   Staff members will be asked to stand.  We wish we had more tickets to offer families, but unfortunately we have no extra tickets.  Once your tickets are received, be sure to keep them in a safe place.  Due to the strict ticket limit described above, please do not forget or lose your admission tickets; you must present them in order to be admitted to the auditorium at Long Reach.  If you do not have your ticket the morning of the Promotion, you will be admitted 15 minutes after the start of the ceremony, pending available seating.  Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

How can I get an additional ticket to the ceremony?
Only two tickets per student are available per student, due to seating limitations at LRHS’s auditorium. Please ask a neighbor or friend who may not be using both of their tickets.

I lost my ticket. Can I get a replacement?
Students will be given students tickets in school.  Please speak to your child about keeping these tickets in a safe place until they get home from school.  If your child loses their ticket, contact Ms. Bradley immediately so we can try to help locate it.  Replacements may not be possible due to capacity restrictions at Long Reach.

If I have a younger sibling can they attend if they sit on a parent's/adult's lap or if they are in a car seat?
Everyone needs a ticket due to capacity restrictions.  As long as a young child has a ticket for admittance, they can attend.

Does my child have to wear the clothes that are listed on the suggested guidelines?
No, these are just guidelines for the ceremony.  We hope they are able to attend and uphold the tradition of appropriate dress for this type of occasion.  If you need assistance of any type with securing items to wear, please let us know.  We will do our best to assist you or direct you to the proper resources in the county.

I plan to get to LRHS early to secure my seat. How do I enter?
The doors outside of the auditorium will open at 12:45 pm for admittance to the auditorium.  Tickets will be required for each individual.

What time does my child need be at Long Reach?
All students should be at Long Reach by 12:45 pm if they want to participate in the promotion ceremony and walk across the stage.   Arriving late could prevent students from sitting with the 8th grade class and walking across the stage.
