Parent-Teacher Conferences: November 20, 21 and 22, 2017

Parent conferences will be held on November 20, 21 and 22, 2017 as follows:

           

Monday, November 20

12:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Tuesday, November 21

12:45 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Wednesday, November 22*

7:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

*Only teachers unable to attend evening conferences will be

available during the day on Wednesday.

 

 

HCPSS will use the "Synergy Conference Management" to schedule parent-teacher conferences.  Starting Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. until Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 9:00 a.m., parents can log into HCPSS Connect (http://www.hcpss.org/connect/) to view and select from the time slots available. Parents without online access may contact the Mayfield Woods Office of Student Services at 410-313-5025 for assistance in scheduling conferences.  All conferences will be 10 minutes in length with 5 minutes of travel time, and will take place in the room identified when scheduling.

Important note: In order to give as many parents as possible the opportunity to conference with teachers, an initial three (3) conference per student limit is necessary.  Unfortunately, Synergy will not prevent you from scheduling more than 3 conferences, so we respectfully ask that you refrain from doing so.  If you do schedule more than 3 conferences, we will have no choice but to delete all additional conferences after the first 3 chronologically.  If you have a unique family situation, please contact Principal Shindel by November 3 at Melissa_Shindel@hcpss.org or 410-313-5022.

 

The good news is that after all parents have had the opportunity to schedule at least 3 conferences, we will re-open the conference window and you may sign up for as many additional conferences as you wish (over your initial 3), given the remaining slots available.   The second conference window will open on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.   In order to prepare for conferences, Synergy conference scheduling will close on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.

To recap the timeline:

  • November 7, 3:00 p.m. – Parent-teacher conference sign-ups begin with a 3 conference limit per student
  • November 14, 9:00 a.m. – Parent-teacher conference sign-ups close
  • November 14, 3:00 p.m. – Parent-teacher conference window re-opens; parents may sign-up for as many conferences as they wish from the remaining slots available.
  • November 15 – “Meet and Greets” (more information to be shared in the newsletter)
  • November 20 – Parent-teacher conferences (times above)
  • November 21 – Parent-teacher conferences (times above)
  • November 22 – Parent-teacher conferences (times above)

If you need to cancel conferences after November 16, contact the Mayfield Woods Office of Student Services at 410-313-5025 when conference cancellations are necessary.
