8th Grade Families,
I hope everyone is doing well and is getting excited for their last few weeks in middle school! The 8th
Grade Promotion Ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 16th from 2:00-3:30 at Guildford Park High School.
Here is what you need to know:
- Students need to arrive at Guildford Park High School no later than 1:30 PM.
- The dress code is “Business Casual” - nice pants, collared shirt, dresses.
- When you arrive, students will be escorted to a side hallway to line up. Families should check in at
the front table with their tickets. Ticket tables will be alphabetical by last name.
- Interpretation Services: There will be a table set up for interpretation services before you enter the
auditorium. If you need interpretation devices (headphones), please see Ms.Barney to sign them
out. If you need a language other than Spanish, please let me know no later than Tuesday, June
9th.
- Students will be given tickets for the ceremony to bring home on Friday, June 12th. Please make
sure they give the tickets to you as soon as they get home. More about tickets:
- Anyone requiring a seat needs a ticket. Small children may sit on laps.
- Please let me know if you need a handicap accessible seat. We will save a seat for you and
the other guests in your party.
- If you forget your tickets, you will be admitted after the ceremony starts. There is no
guarantee that you will have a seat or that your party will sit together.
- 8th graders do not need a ticket. All tickets are for guests.
- If you successfully completed the google form requesting extra tickets, they were awarded
to you and will be in your ticket envelope. If you requested tickets more than once, you were
given a maximum of 2 extra tickets, for a total of 4 tickets. Please email me if you are unsure
if your request went through.
- I had a lot of families still requesting tickets after extra seats were filled. I wish we could
give tickets to everyone. If you still have family members that would like to attend and don’t
have a ticket, they may come and wait in a “stand by” line. Based on available seats, they
will be admitted after the ceremony starts on a first come first served basis. There is no
guarantee that they will have a seat, but we will do the best we can.
- No food or beverage inside the auditorium.
- All strollers need to be left in the car.
- Please do not bring anything that will hinder the view of people behind you - balloons, signs, etc.
We want to ensure that everyone has a great experience watching their kids move on to high
school!

¡Espero que todos se encuentren bien y estén emocionados por las últimas semanas de la escuela secundaria! La Ceremonia
de Promoción de 8.o grado se llevará a cabo el martes 16 de junio, de 2:00 p. m. a 3:30 p. m., en Guildford Park High School. A
continuación encontrarán información importante:

Información importante sobre los boletos:

● Si necesita un asiento accesible para personas con discapacidades, por favor avíseme. Reservaremos un asiento
para usted y para los miembros de su grupo.
● Si olvida sus boletos, podrá ingresar después de que comience la ceremonia. No se garantiza que haya asientos
disponibles ni que su grupo pueda sentarse junto.
● Los estudiantes de 8.o grado no necesitan boleto. Todos los boletos son para los invitados.
● Si completó exitosamente el formulario de Google solicitando boletos adicionales, estos le fueron asignados y
estarán incluidos en su sobre de boletos. Si envió la solicitud más de una vez, recibió un máximo de dos boletos
adicionales. Si no está seguro de si su solicitud fue recibida, por favor envíeme un correo electrónico.
Muchas familias continuaron solicitando boletos después de que se agotaron los asientos adicionales. Ojalá pudiéramos
proporcionar boletos para todos. Si aún tiene familiares que desean asistir y no tienen boleto, pueden presentarse y esperar
en una fila de espera. Dependiendo de los asientos disponibles, podrán ingresar después de que comience la ceremonia por
orden de llegada. No se garantiza que tengan asiento, pero haremos todo lo posible para acomodarlos.
● No se permite comida ni bebidas dentro del auditorio.
